@Nifty: Hmmm, while that is all pretty concerning stuff, I'm going to reserve judgement on this until after the reviews hit and after the day 1 patch has been dropped. Seems odd that he has these criticisms, when there have been a number of other articles in the last month or two where journalists have been reporting pretty much the opposite.

I suppose we'll find out for certain in a couple days!

Yeah I think everyone is holding back on this one until the reviews & other gamers have had their say.
Im sure Ubisoft are going to want to avoid all the negativity they got from Unity.

@Nifty: Yup, Unity was a real knock to my faith in the franchise, as someone who enjoyed pretty much every game up to that point (although I wasn't wild on 3). To be fair though, my main problem with Unity was the non-existent plot (I picked it up late after hearing all the reports of it being a buggy mess).

They've been saying all the right things in the leadup to Syndicate, pretty much specifically mentioning everything I had as a concern and talking in a way that sounds like it shouldn't be a problem anymore. However, I'm not going to be handing over any cash after I've seen the goods!

Oh Dear. I'll just wait for the game to drop the price before I jump in on it. a year from now most likely haha

@xX_RiscazZ_Xx: If it ends up bad hopefully the price should drop sooner, pretty sure I only paid about £15 pre-owned for Unity, and that was only just over 4 months after release!

If anyone's played unity - this being bad and glitchy is expected. The only Ubisoft franchise Im still interested in is Rayman and the ubiart engine stuff. Is a anyone interested in this with unchartered HD, Disgaea and fallout about to hit?

@ZeD: Read between the lines. He loved it. Especially the bit where you had to collect that thing, that bit was brilliant.

After his article on open world games anything over a 6 will surprise me.

I generally like Sammy's reviews but I wouldn't trust his world at all on Open World games because, yes, based on that recent article and prior comments I've seen from him it's clear he's not into the genre. And that's totally fine, I just hope the review was handed off to somebody who doesn't have what seems to be a complete hatred for open world. That I'm still expecting 5s and 6s for AC Syndicate for numerous reasons. Among the biggest is franchise burnout. I think we can all agree it needs a rest. I also expect technical hiccups to be present as much as I hope I'm wrong.

@Gamer83: I think compared to the likes of Witcher 3 (which I personally find a bit ho-hum) most open world games are going to stand up poorly.

i dont know what to think about what he says, ive been watching alot of gameplay videos on youtube and they contradict most of what he says. From a technical perspective it looks better than unity.

@Gamer83: If you read the WAYP article this pass weekend then you would have known that Sammy is indeed reviewing it.

@Kidfried: How are you finding Unity? Personally I enjoyed it, I love the city of Paris and it was great to explore it also really liked the murder mystery sidequests

@Kidfried: Ya was going to that is quite the in depth review for a comment you might end up with a job on Push at this rate You pretty summed up my problems with the game too, mainly the annoying combat but also the gameplay mechanics don't feel tight enough, can't tell you how many times I've accidentally jumped on a table when trying to move from one to another or getting stuck onto a wall when trying to escape guards

I actually think Syndicate looks so good. But I'm gonna wait for a price drop still. It's not on my must buy list but I will get it someday.
