@kyleforrester87: Could be out - wife's acting weird screaming in the chair - after the Emmerdale omnibus I may have to take a casual drive to the 24hr hour tescos, get some food for the inevitable long night and go out clubbing. Then eventually take my wife to the hospital the morning after - drop her off grab a franky and bennys breakfast quick game of darts in the red lion quick scoop then back to the ozy. Lol. She is acting weird tho....

Also guys, if we run Hard Mode VoG, is there anyone not comfortable with that here?

We can all work out some semblance of max light level by getting a ghost shell from the speaker, hopefully Xur will be selling something good today to boost firepower for the ones that need some.

Effectively these are the things we will need:

maxed VoG guns for the oracles if you have any
sniper riffle for the templar - gallys and other powerful launchers (careful with the bubbles, don't explode yourselves) or machine guns out
Atheon - machine guns preferably, use only the rocket if you know how to use it jumping above the relic bubble, but preferably don't at all. All ya'll get some heavy synths from Xur or the gunsmith and it will be a walk through the park - again - oracle weapons for the portals and stuff.

@kyleforrester87: Haha, we were in there last night again. Wife's been sent home. This pregnancy lark is a joke. Like getting to the end of a game and realising you don't have the key to open the end boss door.

@xX_RiscazZ_Xx: Dont forget everything's been nerfed. You may want to run a normal raid first.

@themcnoisy: Most of the stuff we are using there hasn't been touched, and we don't even need gallys to do that thing. Machine guns are untouched I believe, in fact they have been improved no? Snipers are the same, just icebreaker's and black hammer's perks, but I mostly use praedyths revenge for VoG, for the oracle and Vex boost. no shotguns or hand cannons needed.

So If everyone can get around to 160 light we will be fine.

But if everyone seems to be a bit less prepared than that, then sure. We'll go normal mode.

I'm at 165, happy to do hard mode if we all are.

@xX_RiscazZ_Xx: I have no issue with running either raid on Hard although I must admit I am lacking the firepower. Xur's inventory certainly won't be helping either - No Land Beyond! However I am more than capable of running the Relic at both the Templar and during the final 2 stages of Atheon. I have a few good Fusion Rifles though which are great for Oracles but not so great for Atheon. I would prefer Hard in the hope I get FB and/or a Vex - even though both have been nerfed - as I do miss them on my PS account.

I am also more than capable of running the Sword in Crota too.

To be honest I'm pretty hazy with the relic bit at the end, I've only done it twice and just kind of blag it until it works out! But I can do it

@BAMozzy: That's fantastic, I've got max level oracle weapons at every turn so I can run relic, but You guys are better off having me on oracle crushing duty. You get the templar relic then, if that is ok.

No Land Beyond? That is excellent news! Another one for the collection! I seem to have lost my Lord of Wolves Elder cypher somehow, need to check my titan but if I did that is crap!

And vex is part of the fusion riffle group, at the end of the day the improvements still make it one of the best weapons thus far, or so my brother tells me.

@xX_RiscazZ_Xx: I am more than comfortable to use the relic at every stage its in. I am more likely to be useful with that than with my weapons on the PS. I know various ways of getting through each stage on Hard mode too which may help - particularly at the Oracle and Templar stage.

If you had an on-going Elder Cipher that was not completed before the patch, if you go to Variks, he will let you pick whichever weapon you want from the 3. Its the same for all the exotic bounties too - If you had one incomplete, it gave you the weapon anyway.

The Vex has gone through a number of changes since it was first available. However it has been hit by the Field Scout nerf. Originally this Perk increased the Mag size to 56 then reduced to 35 and now has 26/28 (I can't remember exactly) and even less in reserve as a result. It already had the poorest reserve ammo of any primary as the average is around 9 magazines but the Vex has around 5. Its still powerful but it also burns through ammo very quickly (especially with an even smaller mag). According to Bungie, Fusions now do 15% more damage against AI but have had the projectile speed reduced as well as now no longer get more accurate with each projectile fired. I had my Vex back before it got the first nerf and still remember how great it was back then so I guess I may be a little harsh as its nowhere near the gun it used to be but I still like the aesthetics and sound of it and really want one for my PS account.

Anyway what time are we starting tonight?

Maybe if anyone wants to join I'll get around to that nightfall I was planning to run yesterday before booze got the better of me.

If its based on 'light' not level, I maybe able to bring my Warlock through both NF and the weekly heroic but if not I can help with my Hunter but she's already done it. I will be working on my Warlock today - trying to level her up so should be online most of today before 9pm. If you (or anyone else) wants a hand with anything just send me a message...

Completing your subclasses' quests will give you a class item with 170 or 160 I believe, so look into that if you need a light boost
