Hello all, I wanted to post this because I could not find any information on how to use an echo dot as a speaker via Bluetooth. They were either about using any speaker via BT in the PS4 or they were about connecting the dot to a BT speaker.

I wanted to connect my Projector to the PS4, but the projector speaker was crap. So I have a BT headset already connected to my PS4 via a dongle such as this.

https://amzn.to/3fAZDGS

All I had to do was open the Alexa app —> Devices —> Echo and Alexa chick on the dot. —> BT Devices —> Pair New Device. The. hold down the button on the dongle for a few seconds to put into pair mode. You will see the name of thed dongle pop up. Click pair, then after it is paired. Go to the PS settings —> Devices —> Audio Devices. Then make sure it’s set to audio output as head set connected to controller.

If it is not playing then unplug the dongle and let the PS4 and Dot drop it, then plug it back in. If still no sound go into Alexa and forget the device. Then re connect it if still no sound reboot. If still no sound you’re on your own.
