So I am currently using a PS4 and I've been fine I am using it on an Acer G237HL monitor With an HDMI from Monitor to PS4 I bought over 4 years ago. Which is called Amazon Basics HDMI to DVI Adapter Cable - 0.9m (Not for connecting to SCART or VGA ports), Trying to give as much info as possible. I've recently bought a PS5 which is coming Monday I would like to know will the HDMI work on the PS5? If not without buying a 4k monitor which I can't afford atm or a way better monitor in general how do I go about it thanks, guys.

Should be absolutely fine! I run my PS5 on a BENQ monitor (GW2780) which is 1080p - the same as your Acer I believe.

Despite my monitor not being 4K, PS5 runs great... but of course it means you can't take advantage of 4K visuals.

Both our monitors do 60fps accordingly to specs, which is the important thing I guess...

I might upgrade to 4K in future, but honestly the 1080p/60hz is fine!

Thank god for that I was worried for a second then. Just my monitor only had 1 square end that is power. The HDMI I used for my PS4 basically the end from PS4 to PC screws into my monitor. I thought the PS5 HDMI because it's 2 square ends PS5 and plugs into the Monitor was gonna screw me over cus I only have 1 square end at the back of my monitor which is the power end that goes into my monitor. Thanks for the help much appreciated.
