My controller's touchpad hasn't worked properly since I purchased it. I have found that I am not alone in this issue as many reports have been made online regarding this issue.

The touchpad will do the following:
1. Barely or not at all register my finger swipes.
2. Constantly be "held" in a certain direction making certain actions in game impossible.
3. Most commonly noticeable when trying to type on the console's on screen keyboard and it gets stuck on the "h" and is unable to be moved even with D-pad or analog stick.

TEMPORARY solutions include:
1. Turning controller off then on again
2. Resetting the controller and reconnecting to PlayStation
3. Setting entire system back to default settings

These "solutions", however, seem to go away after pressing down on the touchpad again (which many games will have you do).

I looked into requesting a repair but I would have to pay for shipping costs, box it myself, and possibly pay for repairs. The official website doesn't even let me report the problem properly. Any suggestions on what I should do? Having to turn the controller on and off again is incredibly annoying and should never happen from a brand new controller.
