Topic: PS4 Pro - Need help!

I bought a PS4 Pro without a HDD. The PS4 Pro turns on, beeps once, then flashes a blue light once, for one to two second, then turns off. I have to unplug it for it to do it again. Im hoping it's because I have no HDD in it, but I dont know.

Any help or advice would be so grateful and appreciate!

@GamerQueen By no HDD, you mean it has no internal storage at all? PS4s store their OS on the hard drive so it won’t be able to boot up without one. You’ll have to buy an HDD, insert it into the console and then download the latest system software to a USB, plug it into the PS4 and install system software when the PS4 boots into Safe Mode.

@nessisonett Thank you for the reply! When I insert the HDD and turn it on, will it boot into safe mode? Or will I have to do it myself?

Edite - Yes, as in it has no HDD.

@GamerQueen It should recognise that the system software isn’t installed and then boot into Safe Mode automatically for you. If it doesn’t then you might have to look into further repairs but good luck!

Im just worried It might be something else more severe. So the PS4 Pro will NOT turn on without HDD? I was thinking/hoping it because I was missing the HDD. The one beep and one quick blue flash of light, then off, I didnt know what to think to be honest. Hope a new HDD will fix the issue.Again, thank you!
