I love the PS4...except for a few small things. One, when I zoom in on a 4:3 video on the PS3, it will basically pan and scan it, keeping the video it shows not stretched out. The PS4 stretches it out. Don't like that.
The second massive problem I have with it is that you don't have the option for sequential or continuous playback of video files stored on the system or usb stick. I lost a lot of sleep last night because of this. At night, to help me sleep, I have a bunch of videos that I like to play. MST3K episodes. But last night, after the first one, it just stopped....which woke me up because the noise stopped. I had to put the stick back in my ps3 to play the files properly.
Why isn't there an option for continuous playback ? I looked it up, and it looked like there WAS an option for sequential or continuous playback, but it's not there anymore.
Just an update. It happened again. The video stopped, and I woke up because the sound stopped. I replayed the video, setting it at the last 30 seconds, and this time, the next video DID play. I checked in the settings and autoplay IS set to on...but what good is it when it doesn't work when I want it to.
I guess I have to hope that the youtube on my ps3 doesn't freeze up. My ps3 seems to be going bad where youtube is concerned. Maybe just playing videos will work, as I've noticed that the two times it froze is when I was trying to rewind/fast forward through a video.
Also, when using a usb stick, there is no way to get it to play video after video. I like to play videos while I sleep, but the ps4 will only play one video and then goes to black.
