Topic: Need help

I have a PS4 pro and when I turn it on it's in safe mode. It asks me to install the update or cancel. I don't have much on my hard drive; in fact I got a new one. When I press cancel it takes me back to the safe mode menu, only it won't allow me to scroll up or down. It seems like it's stuck in a loop. I have tried everything possible; unplugging for a bit, pushing the power button quickly to turn it on, got a new hard drive, checked the connections, cleaned it out. I get the same darn thing Everytime. I read that on person kept starting it in safe mode over and over until he got out of the loop. Can anyone please help me? I am frustrated to no end.

Well if i read that right it sounds like you put a new HDD in the PS4 without installing the latest OS

Go to the official PlayStation site for your region on a P. C, download the latest update for the PS4 (instructions will be on the site) and put it on a USB stick then install it to the PS4

I was attempting to download it from the internet,but I can't get that far. When I click on #7 it takes me back to the safe mode menu. When I click on cancel it does the same and I'm not able to scroll up or down. O don't have a PC is the reason I was trying to do do the update via internet.

@Jojay122263 you're really going to have to use a P.C to get the file i'm afraid, is there no one you know that has a P.C you can use?

if not i suggest putting the original HDD back in
