Topic: Multiple ps4 in home

I have 3 boys and myself who have profiles and my profile has the ps4 subscription and all games are bought through my ps account each. We have 3 ps4 in the house my oldest son can play all the games as his is the primary buy my other 2 sons must use my profile to play on The other 2 ps4 but they can't play at the same time or use their own profile. I have spent a fortune on games surly their must be a way so all my family can play the games I paid for on Their own profile which they are part of the ps4 family group? Any help would be appreciated.

I think this only works for up to two consoles, the account holder and the person using the primary console, which is what it sounds like you have done. I think you will need to repeat the process for another two people to game share.

You can only game share with two consoles. I had the same problem and when I mentioned it to Sony that I had three consoles and wanted all of them to benefit from playing the games I purchased. Sony’s answer was that was something they have not thought of. Unofficially what Sony is really saying is they have restricted the profiles so everyone has to pay for the games I.e not game sharing amongst friends or different households.

@Alan_Breen thanks Alan but all the ps4 consoles are in the same household and the kids profiles are part of the family group so really why have family groups at all if you can't all play the games. As far as 8m concerned I paid a tenner extra for the download and I can't even let my kids play it. Think I will go back to disks.....

@Chewisback You have to look at it from Sony's point of view. Most households have two PS4s very rare is a household going to have more then that honestly their is no reason too. Anyway if they didn't put a limit on the number of console that could gameshare Sony and developers would lose so much money cause only one person would buy a game and then give it to all their friends for free.

Yeah it's an issue but it's to stop people taking advantage and selling their profile online for others to use (yes that actually used to happen) it's also why you have to be signed into the account on any PS4 that isn't your home console (XBOX does the same if anyone is wondering)

They aint doing it for bad reasons just because they have to

But if you buy a game physically this isn't an issue while you can only play it on one system at a time (unless you buy multiple copies) anyone can play it on their account on ANY PS4 (another plus for physical media 👍🏻)
