Topic: 'Messages' glitching

The past few days I have not been able to read any new messages. The notification sends me to 'Messages' but then it immediately closes. Manually opening 'Messages' shows nothing, as if I've never had any. New messages are also not showing up on the phone app.

Is this happening to anyone else? I hope it's something to do with the network issue and not something specifically wrong on my end.

@KingDedede I assume you're talking about on the PS4 itself rather than on this website, correct? I've not been having those issues myself... have you tried restarting the console?

@antdickens Yeah I was talking about on PS4 and also on the PlayStation Messages phone app.
@RogerRoger I barely ever send messages so it wasn't related to high-volume.

The issue seems to have fixed itself now

@KingDedede I have the same issue mine started today I was panicking until I read your post. I guess I have to wait for it to fix itself.

I just started having this problem about a week or so ago and it's annoying... I was recently added to a group message and I normally use the app to message friends and whatnot but it affected the messages on the Ps4... none of them show up I'll receive notifications from group message or if a friend messages me but when I click on it nothing shows up... this gotta be a problem with Sony smh
