Topic: Hello! Can't use (previously working) card to purchase things.

Hello again! First time on forum, please let me know if there's something I need to address first before posting this.

So! As title says: "Can't use (previously working) card to purchase things."

Here's the long and short:

I have a debit card. I have purchased many games, as well as kept a steady auto-renewal (per month) PS Plus service, with this card. There has never been an issue about anything related to this card (whose name is on the card, the address associated with the card, etc., it's always worked, with everything).

So: I recently deactivated the auto-renew service for my PS+ subscription (about two weeks ago) on my PS4 (still have more than enough funds on the card, just didn't want the auto-renewal service anymore). My PS+ subscription ended and a week or more later I'm now ready to reactivate my PS+ subscription.

Problem is: I can't use my card anymore. I can't activate PS+, I can't purchase any game, I can't use any amount of funds. I try to utilize the PS+ deals ($59.99 for 12 months), but I receive error E-8210604A every time I try. Has never happened before, and I am at a loss for what to do now. I am able to "add funds" to my wallet, but I don't want to, and that shouldn't be "the workaround," as many other threads have mentioned.

Please help!

@asproutling This happened to me several years ago. Occasionally, PSN will just start being difficult with random payment methods. I didn't wanna add any other details, and I only had the one debit card at the time, so I just started topping up manually with PSN credit codes from GAME or Amazon (which, if nothing else, helps add some crucial "Do I really want this?" thinking time to my impulse purchases).

Anyway, if you really must have your debit card recognised, then I'd strongly suggest contacting Sony Support, as the problem is on their end, not yours. Sorry I can't be of more assistance!
