Hey,

If anyone can help me then much appreciated. Trying to play COD Modern Warfare with friends and I need an update. Then it says no space. I have a 4TB external HDD but apparently I don’t have enough ‘System storage’. So why have an external HDD in the first place then? I’ve got over 2.5TB spare but am having to delete games whilst all my mates are having a COD TDM together. Even though I have fibre broadband it’s still a 22gb update so I’m sat here like an idiot Waiting. What’s going on? Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any advice 👍

@Alpine021 maybe the below?

https://www.playstation.com/en-gb/get-help/help-library/syste...

In particular...

How to change the Application Install Location

To change the install location of your applications, you need to choose where you would like to save them. You cannot change the application install location during a download.

Select [Settings] > [Storage], and then press the OPTIONS button.
Select [Application Install Location] > [Extended Storage].
extended-hdd-03-ps4-en-06mar17
Applications will now be set to install on extended storage.

Hi,

Thanks that might work. If it does though I just don’t get why when system storage is full it doesn’t reroute automatically to external storage? Thanks though I’ll give that a try 👍
