Metro Exodus (PS5)
$4.49/£3.74 (-85%)
4A Games' post-apocalyptic adventure Metro Exodus feels like it was meant for PS5, with silky smooth performance, great looking ray-traced graphics, and complete DualSense functionality. While some flaws of the original release do persist — those accents! — there's a lot to like about this game on Sony's current-gen system. Featuring loads of tense story moments and some super atmospheric exploration, this train ride through the Russian wasteland makes for a memorable journey.

Mortal Kombat X (PS4)
$4.99/£3.99 (-75%)
Mortal Kombat X has become something of a fan favourite over the years — a typically gory and charmingly daft entry in the long-running series. On a mechanical level, X gets a lot right — it's like a melding of older Mortal Kombat titles, spruced up for modern times. Whatever your skill level happens to be, it's great bloody fun, capped off by a comprehensive character roster and loads of engaging game modes.
Octopath Traveler II (PS5)
$23.99/£19.99 (-60%)
Although the first game isn't available on PlayStation platforms, Octopath Traveler II is a borderline must play for fans of more traditional Japanese RPGs. It's built like a classic but with modern design elements, resulting in a refined role-playing experience. An engaging turn-based combat system and a frankly gorgeous visual style make this a seriously impressive sequel.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown (PS5)
£12.24 (-65%)
Ubisoft proves with Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown that it’s arguably at its best when it’s scaling down the size of its games and creating something outside of its open world wheelhouse. Metroidvanias may be ten a penny on PS5, but this well-executed adventure is bursting with exploration and equipped with some of the most satisfying side-scrolling combat you’ll find on Sony’s current-gen system.
Rollerdrome (PS5)
$7.49/£6.24 (-75%)
Bullets and death meet Tony Hawk's Pro Skater in Rollerdrome, one of the best-feeling PS5 games to date. All you need do is take down bad guys in skate parks of the future, but Roll7's latest is all about doing it in style. Chain tricks and grinds in-between shotgun shells to rack up a high score and win the tournament; along the way, you'll feel on top of the world. Rollerdrome is an addictive shooter all about speed and flow, and you'll quickly find yourself replaying stages just for another dose of its ecstasy.
SnowRunner (PS4)
$19.99/£16.49 (-50%)
SnowRunner’s glacial pace won’t appeal to everyone, but this unique haulage simulation manages to transform everyday terrain into an enemy you need to tame. This is a game that’s less about the destination and all about the journey you take; in that sense it’s unmatched, and wildly rewarding in a way that few other open worlders are.
Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-Shot Adventure (PS4)
$4.99/£3.99 (-50%)
In order to build anticipation for Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, Gearbox decided to release Borderlands 2 expansion pack Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep as a standalone game. Despite only offering approximately five hours of gameplay, a fraction of a traditional Borderlands campaign, this is a nice bitesized adventure that bridges the gap between its full-blown successor.
WWE 2K25 (PS5)
£32.49 (-50%)
For the fourth year running, 2K and Visual Concepts have produced a high quality wrestling game that's absolutely overflowing with content. While not every change sticks the landing and The Island is a potentially worrying omen for the future of the series, it's the inclusion of intergender wrestling, other new features and match types, and strong Showcase and MyRISE modes that cement WWE 2K25 as a must-play for any wrestling fan.

Brothers runs at locked 60 fps on Pro!
(Not on vanilla)
Mirage is definitely worth the £13.50. I enjoyed it very much as a return to the more limited AC experiences.
Prince of Persia: Lost Crown is well worth £12 too - had a blast with that one.
Might pick up Brothers and Tiny Tina Assault for the backlog.
Ignored the big hitters and grabbed Crime Scene Cleaner as it was on my wishlist. Trusting my previous self there's a reason it was on there.
I‘ve never played an AC game, and I‘m tempted by Origins and Odyssey. Both seem to have a good reputation and run well on PS5. But I want to start with one game (they’re long enough) and can’t decide. I want „the better one“.
Origins or Odyssey? And why?
I grabbed Spin Rhythm XD with all dlc for 7 quid, great fun 👍
@Quintumply maybe update the Octopath Traveller part bc part 1 is available on PlayStation
@Nalim 🫡
@Max_the_German Origins is huge, nice story and you may finish it, very nice game. Odyssey is bigger than Origins, story is good enough, I liked it.. but it is too long. I would recommend to get Origins. Anyway - they both are discounted quite often so you can get Odyssey next time.
That’s a very useful advice, thank you! I‘m not against long games but bloated ones. Origins seems to be a good and cheap entry point.
