Astro's Playroom is a free platforming game, included as a pack-in with the PlayStation 5. It's inspired by the characters and concepts first introduced in The Playroom and The Playroom VR, which culminated in the full-blown Astro Bot Rescue Mission for PlayStation VR. The game serves as a showcase for the DualSense controller's features and functionality. We awarded the game a 9/10 in our Astro's Playroom PS5 review, describing it as a "love letter to PlayStation".
In this Astro's Playroom guide, we're going to share our beginner's tips and tricks to help you get the most out of the free game. We're also going to reveal the location of all collectibles, including Artefacts and Puzzle Pieces. Finally, we'll detail Astro's Playroom: All Trophies and How to Unlock the Platinum. Read on for a complete guide to Astro's Playroom on PS5.
Astro's Playroom Guide: All Collectibles

Astro's Playroom Guide: Tips and Tricks for Beginners
Astro’s Playroom is not a particularly difficult game, so you shouldn’t really have too much trouble finishing it regardless of your ability level. Nevertheless, in this part of our Astro’s Playroom guide we’re going to share some tips and tricks to help get you started.
Don't Rush
We know you’ve just got your brand new PS5 console and you’re probably excited to experience all that it has to offer. That said, we really recommend you don’t rush through Astro’s Playroom, as it’s an experience that deserves to be savoured. Take your time exploring the level and discovering all of the Easter eggs; spend a moment walking on the different surfaces and seeing how it affects the DualSense controller’s haptic feedback functionality. Above all else, have fun with friends and family, passing the pad around – experiences like this don’t come around often.
Find All the Easter Eggs
How good is your PlayStation knowledge? One of the best things about Astro’s Playroom is the sheer number of obscure references it packs into its relatively slender running time. Here’s a fun activity you can do with friends and family at home: pull out a notepad and see if you can pen down every single Easter egg you uncover. Some of them get super obscure, so these are really going to test your Sony trivia skills.
Try and Top the Leaderboards
Don’t think once you’ve completed Astro’s Playroom and found all the collectibles that the experience is over. No, it’s actually just beginning. Head to the Network Speed Run area and try and top the global leaderboards. You can use the PS5’s new Activities feature to compare your performance against friends and family; do you reckon you’ve got what it takes to be the best?
And that concludes our Astro's Playroom guide. Hopefully, this has helped you to get the most out of the free PS5 platformer. If you have any further tips, tricks, and secrets to share, please post them in the comments section below.

@get2sammyb Thanks for this, these guides are really good. I will be honest though, I am going to play it through first then refer back to the guide afterwards to pop the plat!
Would you say it is easier or about the same as Astrobot VR? You may mention this in the guide but I'm scarred of seeing spoilers
@Mostik Easier than the VR guide. And yeah, have fun!
Cool, thanks. I've only got a few hidden ones to go so this helps a lot.
My first PS5 game that I played...finished and did plat on 1 sitting lol
What's this for? Did they include the game with PS+? 😂
This was a fun lil game hope we get more
What year is it?
On a more serious note this game was super fun. I had a bunch of games and PS+ when I got my PS5 but I still played through 100% of this and got the Platinum before I even got to any of them. I don't even chase Platinum trophies much, it was just that fun. Shame we didn't get an Astra game for PSVR2. It's really missing a "getting started" game for new VR players.
