Let It Die, as in the original game by Grasshopper Manufacture, will receive an offline version.
As reported by Gematsu, the news was confirmed by the franchise's current dev team Supertrick Games in a dev diary broadcast.
The game is an online-only, free-to-play title that launched nine years ago on PS4. The studio has supported it all this time, but there has been demand from fans for a way to play the game offline.
The team confirms that the offline version will be compatible with your save data from the online version, so any progress you've made in the game can be carried over.

Unfortunately, that's it for details; we don't know precisely when this offline mode will be available.
Still, fans of the roguelike action game will be pleased to hear the news.
The announcement comes right on the cusp of the launch of Let It Die: Inferno, a follow-up arriving on PS5 on 3rd December 2025.
Inferno has recently been criticised for the heavy use of AI tools in its development.

Love Grasshopper, hate online/multiplayer/co-op, sounds like a win so far.
I'm all for game preservation, so this is a w in my book.
Now watch as someone makes an online mod for this.
Although offline gets rid of a major aspect of the game (enemies being players etc), im actually kind of stoked to be able to play offline.
Maybe I'll feel more inspired to do more runs when there aren't maps just being guarded by long time players trolling.
