Final Fantasy 16 Patch

Ahead of (or maybe alongside, we're not sure) the release of its second expansion, Final Fantasy 16 will be getting a free update that includes some rather positive-sounding changes. Patch 1.30 was detailed during the developer's PAX East panel, so we've gone ahead and sorted the additions and improvements as bullet points:

  • Return to a quest giver immediately with the new "Quick Complete" function
  • Icons updated for important character quests (we assume this is so you can skip lesser quests without having to worry)
  • New Skill Set feature allows you to save up to five unique Feat and Ability sets (this is essentially a loadout system)
  • Abilities and Accessories adjusted to make easier to use (we don't really know what this means)
  • New controller type allows for customisable button layouts

Again, we're not sure when this update is coming, but it'll either be before or alongside The Rising Tide DLC, which drops on the 18th April. We'll edit this article with confirmation, if we get it.
