Happy October, everyone! It's a bit like September except it's getting a little cooler and the western world pretends it's Halloween for several weeks. A fresh batch of PS Plus Essential games is also upon us, and one of the new trio is perfect for the spooky season.
October's PS Plus Essential games are starting to roll out right now. As a reminder, they include:
- The Callisto Protocol (PS5, PS4)
- Farming Simulator 22 (PS5, PS4)
- Weird West (PS5, PS4)
The Callisto Protocol is a grisly sci-fi survival horror game, similar in many ways to Dead Space. It should be perfect to get you into the Halloween vibes. However, if you're after something a bit less intense, Weird West is a top-down immersive sim/RPG that combines the wild west with supernatural happenings. So, still slightly spooky, but in a less I'm-trapped-in-a-space-prison-with-disturbing-mutants-that-want-to-mutilate-me way.
Finally, we have Farming Simulator 22, which acts as a real antithesis to all the horror. It's a chill management/tycoon type game all about making a living from your crops and animals, slowly building an agricultural empire.

@LifeGirl no. Farmville is more like fun farming. Farm Simulator is more like only driving tractor on field.

Push sqaure always puts this out announcing that the new monthly ps plus games are available and they aren't until many hours after they post the article.
I'll be giving Weird West a try after the brief few minutes of the trial. I liked the look of it. Not arsed about the other two.
If you search for collisto on the store it will show the playstation plus free version, not sure why it don't show in the normal sextion

Playing a little of CP now, can see why it didn’t agree. MC has the personality of a brick and walks like a robot. The robots remind me of the one from Black Hole, the evil one.

Grabbed callisto protocol and i'll check out weird west too..farming simulator though? I live in the south west of england and i see and smell enough farmers as it is and dont get me started on bloody tractor drivers on the roads during rush hour..
