Bandai Namco has shared some additional information on the first DLC for Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot. As previously reported, it'll let you unlock the Super Saiyan God transformation for both Goku and Vegeta in the main game. The DLC features training with Whis, and an eventual boss fight with Beerus. It can apparently be tackled at any point in the story.
The DLC is officially titled 'A New Power Awakens - Part 1', so there's clearly more to come. However, we don't have a confirmed release date yet -- Bandai Namco just has it down for 'Spring 2020'.

unfortunately i have nothing left to do on DBZ Kakarot so i am patently waiting for this DLC to drop
and i mean nothing left, i have done all side quests and everything, all i can do is fly about the world doing random fights
@FullbringIchigo I plan to revisit DBZ Kakarot eventually, stopped playing after the fishing prologue mission.
I got distracted by Persona 5, FF15, and Kingdom hearts III ReMind.
@KidBoruto oh it's well worth it, it's a fantastic game but sadly it has no real end game content other than fighting super tough enemies
@FullbringIchigo I plan to revisit DBZ Kakarot after I 100% both FF7 Remake and FF15 Royal Edition.
So in a few weeks probably for me. Still have to work 40 hour weeks in my Amazon warehouse.
