We're not done with December just yet, and Christmas is right around the corner, but that won't stop Sony from pushing an enormous January sale. The European PlayStation Store has begun its epic post-holiday bargain fest, with over a thousand games and add-ons reduced.
The range is huge, with big, small, old, and new games all rolled in together. Some of 2019's biggest titles are here too, like Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Death Stranding, Borderlands 3, and plenty more. The blockbusters don't end there, either -- older AAA titles such as God of War, Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and Just Cause 4 are included too.
Indies are going particularly cheap, with some prices that are very hard to argue with. ABZU, Furi, and Yoku's Island Express, for example, are being practically given away.
There's so much to browse through, so make sure you check the PlayStation Blog post for a more thorough rundown. The sale lasts from now through to 17th January, so there's nearly a month of time to make up your mind. Will you be jumping into this January sale? Let us know what's on your list in the comments below.

I think I will pick up Skyrim, Witcher 3 Expansion Pass, Doom and Spiderman PS4 from those on sale as I want a digital copy.
No amazing deals for newer stuff sadly.
Days Gone £24.99 - bought!
Final fantasy 8 remaster for just over £10 maybe. I am just waiting to look through the whole list.
Disapointed by the vita sale so far, which currently feels half-hearted. Glad i've got most of what i want already, but loads of newer titles are long overdue a price drop
Theres a few good deals, but its pretty rubbish overall, a lot of the games have been on sale for cheaper and only just recently too. Much better sales on physical editions at the minute, I mean £20 for Borderlands 3 brand new from Game compared to £35 for the same edition on the PS Store...
@gmxs That is what you get for Digital Games sadly.
I just bought Control brand new for £25 when it is going for £40 digital, same with Jedi Fallen Order, I got it for around £35 new when it is going for £45.
Really disappointed. I swear 85% of psn store sales are just the same games over and over again. So many indie titles I was hoping to see on sale but it's just the same old EA, Ubisoft, Bandai Namco and Bethesda titles for the most part.
Dark Souls Remastered for £13 is a steal!
£35 in my wallet all thru the Christmas sale let's see if the January Sale can prize away my virtual swagbucks that gives me Amazon gift card's.............If not I will opt for No man's Sky and Subnautica or 1 of the 2 and a new release Dawn of Man.
Used to look forward to these sales but have necome immune to them. Glad i did not stock up with PSN credit
40% of Civ 6 seems crazy seeing as it's only been out for weeks. Just a shame the DLC isn't equally as discounted..
Tempted by a few things, but mainly Devil May Cry 5 for £15.99.
Not much for me but then again I've had a PS4 since launch but I may go for Yakuza 6 and maybe the Street Fighter and Megaman collections
Judgment and Days Gone at reasonable prices.. Might have to pull the trigger on those. I'll play them in summer 2020, when I'm done with Resident Evil 2 and RDR2 🤣
I think Red dead 2 ultimate for 35€ will keep me occupied for a long time.
@DonJorginho Be careful with Skyrim if you've already been playing it on a physical copy. Not sure if it's the same as Fallout 4 but I bought the digital version after owning the physical copy and save files don't cross over. They act as two separate applications.
Does anyone know if the 10% of EA access stacks with the discounted prices on a sale?
Or is it not applying to it?
@Eldritch @DonJorginho was it the Game of the Year edition of Fallout 4? That's probably the reason as I think The Witcher 3 did something similar, something to do with how PSN and others sees them as separate products. He should be fine with Skyrim as there's only one version on PS4
Yakuza 6 and Torchlight 2 for me....not that I'll ever get around to playing them 🙄🙄
@Thrillho yeah and I bought it on day of release on PSN ..not even booted it up yet sobs
@carlos82 Thought I'd say just incase. You're probably correct but I bought the standard edition both digitally and physical as I remember purchasing the DLCs separate.
@Eldritch that's a strange one, I've been wary of buying the Game of the year edition as I have the same issue but have seen the standard version on sale. If I'm brave enough to buy it I'll let you know if it works
@carlos82 yeah. I just double checked to make sure I'm not talking rubbish. It's just the standard edition. I remember being gutted because I'd stuck a few hundred hours in and built some rather complex bases etc. then lost everything.
@Eldritch I'll avoid it then, if you still have the save files I'd imagine you could get the old disc pretty cheap these days. I'd built a Batcave in Sanctuary and another with a giant Stormtrooper light at the entrance, all back in the old days when you needed huge power stations to light them up. I'll go look for the original disc myself now
i'm happy that borderlands 2 VR is on sale again, i will grab it this time. shadow of the tomb raider complete too, these sales break me 😱😱
I'm absolutely picking up Hitman goty for a tenner! But I'm also super tempted by Days Gone
@JAMes-BroWWWn It should do, when i pre ordered FIFA 20 i did it on FIFA 19 for 10% off. (So it was essentially like a sale) When i got to the payment page on the store it had both 10% off for access and for pre ordering from FIFA 19.
@carlos82 unfortunately I'm a complete doughnut and, getting fed up of having two Fallout icons in my games list, deleted the old one, forgetting it deletes the save files. Also when I do a cock-up I like to do it to the best of my ability, so I was, at that time, taking a break from PS plus. So no online backup either... we live and learn. lol On one of my plots I was trying to see if it was possible to build a basic working computer using logic gates and ballbearing machines. With all the wiring it looked like a telephone exchange from hell. I've never had the heart to start again. lol
I feel like assassins creed odyssey has been on a permanent sale for allmost a year now. Still cant be arsed with it despite the good stories. I'm well and truly done with ubisoft open word titles
