Red Dead Redemption 2 might have one of the best video game soundtracks of all time. Produced by the legendary Daniel Lanois, the soundtrack can now be pre-ordered on iTunes, with the full album expected to arrive on 12th July.
Made up of 13 songs, The Music of Red Dead Redemption 2 packages together instant classics such as Unshaken, That's the Way It Is, and Cruel World - with Crash of Worlds and Table Top available for download right now if you place a pre-order. Coming in at a price of just £8.99, it's a bit of a bargain for some of gaming's greatest musical pieces. A physical version of the album is expected to arrive later this summer.

Ooohh, might be nice on vinyl to sit next to my other soundtracks. Of course, I dream of the day I can afford the FF7 vinyl since it's a small fortune.
Bull. That’s what is it is. That’s not even close to the whole soundtrack. I hate when they do this for a soundtrack. They should just release the entire thing. If they want a smaller version too that’s fine, but it shouldn’t be just a sample of the games music.
Finally! Thank goodness!
@Jaz007 For real! This is a drop in the bucket given just how much music there was in that game!
Great music in this game. I love Unshaken.
@Jaz007 I agree, And they'll probably release a "complete" version in a year's time too. That said, aren't there like 120 pieces or something in total? I think there would have to be some curation, but 8 tracks?? Eesh.
@nessisonett square Enix's website has the Remake vinyl set up for pre-order from 7th July. Double disc - one disc of tracks from the original game and one disc of the re-arranged/re-recorded tracks. The Yen works out about £65, with probably another fifteen quid import charge. Better than paying over £200 for the original I guess.
I’m disappointed by the brevity of the release, but I’ll definitely grab what’s there just the same. I love Unshaken and Cruel World.
Just in case any of you hadn't realised, Unshaken was released as a single, so you can pick that up easily. It's on Spotify etc.
I started a new story in RDR2 last night and the music truly is superb. The scenes in the game are already of the highest quality but the music just makes them so much more, like the scene at the start when rescuing John from the wolves.

@nessisonett you have to love the irony of turning digital media into analog. 😂 But vinyl covers are at least nicer to look at.
I find it odd that people automatically complain about DLC being content that should have been in the game already, and would have been in the good old days, yet this is literally that and people are fine. We used to get sound test mode with all the music, now they make some stupid special edition vinyl for £30+ - effectively audio "DLC" - and people lap it up.
@nessisonett Same but I fear that either vinyl version is going to be out of stock before I even know it or it's going to be so expensive that I'll have to re-think my whole life lol
