Hitman: Sniper Assassin Targets PlayStation 4

Looks like IO Interactive could be readying a new instalment in its Hitman series, as a game named Hitman: Sniper Assassin has scoped out a rating in Australia. While there are no additional details available, it’s extremely unusual for these bodies to classify content that doesn’t exist, so something must be in the offing behind-the-scenes.

It’s probably safe to assume that this will be similar to the sniper-based spin-offs that the Danish developer has released before. Hitman: Sniper Challenge on the PlayStation 3 was initially offered as a pre-order bonus for Hitman: Absolution, but eventually evolved into its own thing. There’s also been an edition for smartphones and tablets.
