Assassin’s Creed Origins is arguably the best entry in Ubisoft’s stealth series to date, but the French publisher’s hoping to repurpose the title’s outstandingly detailed open world from 20th February with its free educational Discovery Mode DLC. Featuring 75 guided tours, the content aims to teach you more about Ancient Egypt’s history, from the pyramids down to daily life.
You’ll be able to select an avatar to take the tours with, and you’ll have full access to photo mode in order to chronicle your discoveries. A bunch of historians and so-called Egyptologists contributed to the development of the content, with each individual tour designed with a “classroom” environment in mind. It sounds cool, and we wished more developers would consider adding content like this.

Educational? PAH!
I like this. I find Egyptian history really neat.
Now that I think about it, World History 1 and 2 were some of my favorite classes in high school, and not just because the teacher that taught it was one of my favorites, but because I loved the subjects we delved into.
This is cool, it's more interesting way to learn history compared to reading books or watching education movie.
I adore history so this is a welcome feature.
Getting my kindergarten-aged kid hooked on a game about murder in 3...2....1...
Looking forward to this. Adding a VR mode would also be welcomed - exploring the tombs and cities would be amazing.
wow 75 seems like a lot
@bbtothe I hope there isn't a trophy for doing all 75... I just got 100%.
