Tekken 7 hasn't gotten off to the smoothest of starts on PlayStation 4. The game's been out for a few days now, but its currently shaky networking systems are stopping a lot of players from enjoying online matches. Whether it's lag ruining fights or the inability to correctly connect with an opponent, there's certainly room for improvement. From what we can tell, the problems are most common on Sony's console.
Fortunately, Bandai Namco says that it's on the case. In an official statement over on tekken.com, the publisher writes: "We have received inquiries from a number of customers regarding situations in which they appear to have trouble matching with other players in Ranked Match. We are currently investigating the issue and plan to address the problem through an online update scheduled to modify the game spec and improve matching." Hopefully we'll see that update land over the next few days.
"More details regarding the update will be posted to the official Tekken site. We apologize for any inconvenience which this may cause in the meantime," the company adds.

Mine arrived today so will check it out later. I imagine with 80% of copies sold on ps4, there is extra pressure on the servers supporting the playstation version. Played a little offline earlier and the game is exactly what I wanted to give me a break from big open worlds and rpg grinding
I haven't tried online yet because of all bad match making I've been hearing. Xbox One and PC versions running ok?
I've found the best way to get into a ranked online match is to go into a warm up session while waiting for the game to find an opponent for you. Normally I get into a match within a minute using this method.
Good. I've had a lot of trouble connecting to anyone online. Haven't been able to play a single match.
This while not even doing cross platform like SFV because they saw it caused issues...hope I can play soon, as I personally don't get too much out of "single player" in fighting games, it's fun for about 3 days.
Thanks for keeping us posted btw, PSN plus just expired and I will renew it as soon as T7 is running.
