This author practically waited all day for the promised Kingdom Hearts III and Kingdom Hearts HD II.8: Final Chapter Prologue [Bleurgh – Ed] footage to emerge, so it's no surprise that it was released while we went for a nap. Nevertheless, we're wide awake now – wielding our replica Keyblades at over five minutes of footage from the forthcoming PlayStation 4 games.
The compilation's first up, featuring gameplay and cutscenes from the remastered Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance and the all-new epilogue set after the events of Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep. Then, at about 3:30 in, we get a ton of gorgeous gameplay from Kingdom Hearts III, which is looking stunning to say the least. Both games wouldn't look out of place at My Chemical Romance concert, mind.
This is usually the paragraph where we'd spout some meaningful commentary, but to be honest with you, all of the office weeaboos are out at the moment – sorry about that. Still, the new game looks gorgeous – even if the combat system doesn't appear to be especially complex. Are you happy with what you've seen? Go quakers in the comments section below.

although i did notice one thing with ALL the KH3 trailers,pics and gameplay, Sora doesn't use the Kingdom Key, i wonder why?
Don't really have a lot to say about the game, but I will say that Unreal Engine 4 is an awesome engine. You could spot Unreal Engine 3 games a mile off, but you can't tell this is being made with Unreal Engine 4 at all.
That engine's honestly saving the Japanese console industry.

@get2sammyb Agree regarding Unreal, I used to groan when I saw a game was powered by it as very few did it well, but this looks much better. I'm confident FF7 will look good.

So now that Disney owns Marvel and Star Wars will there be Marvel and Star Wars worlds in KH3? Or will they cover all the Disney movies that still don't show up in Disney Infinity after 3 versions, like all the classic movies and the 80's movies? Disney also owns Winnie the Pooh and the Muppets. Watched the Muppet movie just the other day, that movie needs to be it's own game, but I'd take Kermit in this. Electric Mayhem and there tour bus was made for the Unreal 4 engine. Actually Electric Mayhem needs their own game. The could solve mysteries like the Harlem Globetrotters.

I've never enjoyed Kingdom Hearts, don't really like the Disney back catalogue bar a few films (tron, toy story) and that dialouge for the first section was so awful, so cheesy, so pathetic - that the mentioned threesome puts me off buying.
@get2sammyb How is the battle system not complex if anything there seems to be too much going on... normal attacks, magic, flowmotion, the summon rides, Keyblade transformation and now they've added shotlocks... that's lots of stuff for a single game
@SKC_Diamond I wanted her to turn around so we could see her face... they've been teasing us with that back shot for 6 months now

Hmm, it's about what I expected, just new cutscenes and gameplay for both games.
We probably won't get a release date for KH II.8 until Spring or Summer 2016.
As for KH3, I don't see that getting a date until Late 2016 or sometime in 2017 (worst case).

I loved the OG KH, the sequel not so much tbh - and the 3quel is looking great woo have to see a lot more before I say this is getting bought
OMG I can't wait! This looks AMAZING! I hope they release 2.8 and 3 far enough apart so I can play through all of 2.8 before 3 releases. SO EXCITED FOR THESE!
