Dark Souls III PS4 PlayStation 4 1

Done with Ludwig, The Holy Blade in Bloodborne? Well, you won't have to wait long to get your next From Software fix, as Bandai Namco has confirmed that Dark Souls III will die again and again and again starting 12th April in Europe and North America. The publisher revealed the date alongside a new trailer, which is just about as badass as you'd expect.

The firm also confirmed various pre-order options which are available now. Simply purchasing the game on day one will net you the Apocalypse Edition, which comes with a CD soundtrack and a metal case. Sadly, if you're in the UK, you'll need to shop at GAME to nab that. Meanwhile, the Collector's Edition will include a 10-inch Red Knight statue among other goodies, while the Prestige Edition will be exclusive to Amazon.co.uk and will include a gigantic Lord of Cinder resin figurine.

In anticipation of PlayStation Experience this weekend, the developer has also deployed a new gameplay trailer showing off a particularly harrowing boss fight. While we won't delve into too many details for fear of spoilers, we will say that you'll struggle to see the forest for the trees in the embedded clip. Those that watch it will know what we mean.
