Bloodborne PS4

We love it when SCEA boss Scott Rohde talks; he pulls off effortlessly cool better than we ever could. As such, we’re not necessarily surprised to hear the likeable executive describe From Software’s upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Bloodborne as “off the charts” – even though we’re not entirely sure what that means. We assume that it’s a good thing?

“The way that it looks – just off the charts to me,” he beamed on the latest PlayStation Blogcast, presumably while making hip hand gestures that wouldn’t look out of place in a rap video. “It has, I've said this before... There's a certain, like, wetness to that game. I don't know what other word to use. It just feels like everything is dripping and oozing with whatever it is. It's water, it's blood, it's whatever it is – and it just looks gorgeous.” You’re really selling us here, Scott.

Seriously, though, we can understand what he’s getting at. The game’s visuals are gorgeous – stunning, even – but they’re not particularly pleasant at all. This isn’t entirely unexpected, however, considering that the title is all about a vile disease, which has consumed the lives of hundreds of lowly travellers, each, ironically, in search of a potent medical potion. Don't you just hate it when that happens?
