With role-playing games, it can be difficult to explain just how a release's unique system works with words alone. Ready to lend a helping hand, Koei Tecmo has released a whopping seven videos showcasing some of the weird and wonderful things that you can expect from Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star, which will be released on the PlayStation 3 from 23rd September in North America and 26th September in Europe.
While the field, battle, and event videos are pretty predictable, it's the more unique gimmicks that stand out in the clips embedded below. You can watch a song decimate an enemy using all but a book, dance along while you wait for your items to be created in synthesis, or just power up by stripping down and having a good old wash. As mad as it may sound, it's all real, and seems to be giving the title a distinctive flavour during these busy release months.

The PS2 is my favorite system b/c of Jak, Racthet and Sly, but I really do miss those JRPG days, even if Xeno 1 and 2 were less than stellar. Though I was also playing a bunch of Dreamcast JRPGs back then as well.
Speaking of JRPG, any word on Rainbow Skies, the Rainbow Moon sequel that's supposed to release in 2014?
@rjejr After investigation, it has been pushed back to 2015.
@NicolaHayden - Ah, another game delayed until 2015, guess the indies want to publish like the big boys. Thanks for the info.
Oh well, maybe I can still get Swords & Soldiers 2 on the Wii U this year.
I think Gust makes the best looking 3D anime-style games. Love the Atelier series, so I'm hoping I'll like this. Gonna wait for reviews though
They should remaster Ar Tonelico for PS4 or at less the 2 first for PS3
