Ready to move

Despite making an appearance during Sony’s E3 press conference, we still don’t know much about Activision’s upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified for PlayStation Vita. Thankfully a retail listing posted by US giant Walmart has offered a brief overview of the handheld spin-off.

The blurb explains that players can expect to “explore the original fiction” of the Call of Duty: Black Ops universe in an “all-new campaign of Special Ops missions”. For those not familiar with the most recent Call of Duty titles, Special Ops missions are short single-player (or co-op) challenges which last around ten minutes apiece. Perfect for handheld gameplay, huh?

The description goes on to tout a multiplayer experience “tailored for the Vita”. While that sounds exciting, hopefully Sony encourages Activision to create some kind of connectivity between the PS3 release.

Either way, it sounds like the publisher is approaching the title in the right way. We’re expecting a Unit 13-esque campaign progression, which would be perfect with Call of Duty’s familiar gunplay. Let’s hope we get to see more of the game in action soon.
