Meet Paul

If you thought Saints Row: The Third’s “Enter the Dominatrix” April Fools’ gag was nothing but a silly joke, well, the punch line’s on you, friend. In a brilliant press release sent out to the media this afternoon, publisher THQ has officially confirmed the standalone expansion for release at retail this Fall. It’ll cost you a determinedly unfunny $29.99.

But what do you get in return for your hard-earned cash? Well, “freaking super powers” for starters.

We’ll let core games gaffer Danny Bilson explain:

Faster than a speeding cyber jetbike, more powerful than a roided-out Luchadore, able to leap flying aircraft carriers in a single bound... That's the power you'll find inside the Dominatrix. Use it for good. Use it for evil. Use it for whatever you want. As always in Saints Row, it's up to you.

Enter the Dominatrix kicks-off immediately after the events of Saints Row: The Third. It tells the story of alien warlord Zinyak, who is preparing an armada to invade Earth. His one concern, however, are the biggest bad-asses on the planet, the Third Street Saints.

In order to prepare his forces for domination, Zinyak captures the leader of the Saints and imprisons him in an elaborate simulation. While the simulation looks and feels like Steelport, it's ultimately an illusion.

We should probably add that the expansion will also feature an enormous mutant can of Saints Flow energy drink called, er, Paul.

Apparently we’ll find out a lot more about Enter the Dominatrix this summer. We can’t wait.
