Warfighting

If you’re tired of playing of USA, then you might be excited to learn that Medal of Honor Warfighter’s multiplayer will feature operatives from around the world. The game will hone in on elite soldiers from 12 nations, "including the Australian SASR, British SAS, German KSK and Polish GROM among others”. Each of the nations will be able to compete in head-to-head multiplayer. Those that pre-order the limited edition of the game will get an extra soldier: the US Navy Seal Tier 1 Sniper.

EA’s also revealed a few tidbits about the game’s single-player campaign, supposedly penned by real US Tier 1 Operators. The story focuses on a soldier named Preacher, whose home life is in tatters due to frequent deployment. Cue heart wrenching scenes of the soldier choosing between war and his kids. Predictably, “when a deadly explosive known as PETN penetrates civilian borders and his two worlds collide, Preacher and his fellow teammates are sent in to do what they do best”. Which is shoot lots of people in the face, we presume.

Medal of Honor Warfighter’s due out on 23rd October, as confirmed by the game’s debut trailer.
