Sucker Punch isn't hanging about now its a wholly owned subsidiary of Sony Computer Entertainment

The developer showcased a downloadable, standalone inFamous spin-off during Sony's GamesCom press conference earlier this evening, entitled inFamous 2: Festival Of Blood.

The gothic, vampire-themed PSN title sees New Marais infested with vampires. When protagonist Cole MacGrath is bitten, he must find the head Vampire before night ends to reverse his condition.

There was a bit of a backlash to this announcement online — presumably because of the Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare similarities — but we reckon this Hallowe'en spin-off has the potential to be a lot of fun. We certainly like the gothic style of the trailer. You can watch it after the jump.
