The platform holders finally get it: video game fans actually enjoy watching E3 press conferences. We've spent years fumbling with spotty GameSpot and IGN feeds, desperately trying to get a glimpse of the big threes press conferences, but, for Sony, that ends now.

The company has confirmed plans to air its E3 press conference live on the PlayStation Blog. Presumably that means we'll all get access to a high-quality stream of the event. It all kicks off at 17:00PT on June 6th. Sony's E3 event is set to last around five hours, but much of that slot's likely to be filled by an after-show party for attending journalists.

Excited?
