But Kotaku's reporting that the old headset might be getting replaced by a slimmer, sleeker unit.

Shots of the new device — sent in by a reader — reveal a smaller unit with tidier button placement. Kotaku ensure that the device is an official headset. It doesn't appear the unit offers any notable advantages over the original, it's just a different size and shape.
