Bungie's Already Starting Work On Their New Engine.

Brian Jarrard told Develop that Bungie "don't want to develop a game off someone else's IP" and as such will be constructing their own technology in the same way.

According to Jarrard, the engine's already in its early stages: "Yeah, [the new engine is] actually in development, so I would say it's in a stage where, technically we're still at the end of a pre-production mode."

With Halo: Reach now on store shelves, Jarrard admitted that the bulk of Bungie's resources are now being put into their new project.
