Ubisoft's just sent word that HAWX 2 has been delayed on the PlayStation 3, PC and Wii

Bizarrely, while everyone else will have to wait until September 10th, XBOX 360 owners will be able to play HAWX 2 on the original release date of September 3rd. As far as we're aware, these dates only apply to Europe for now.

The delay could be down to distribution or technical issues. Obviously, it would be easy to point the finger at Microsoft's cheque-book, but we're not sure what advantage a week-long timed exclusivity period would provide them.

We've reached out to Ubisoft for clarification.

Update @ 18:50 BST: Ubisoft's informed us that while they can't disclose the specifics of the delay, it has nothing to do with quality issues nor exclusivity deals.
