MTV Multiplayer's confirmed that Paul Dini will return as the writer for Batman: Arkham City

Dini said that work on Batman: Arkham City began almost immediately after work on Arkham Asylum was completed. And while he was keeping schtum about the specifics of the game's storyline, he did drop a hint regarding the current state of the project.

"We're well on our way through production," he told MTV, "We're doing recordings all this week here in Los Angeles [...] It's all sounding great and it's looking terrific."

The game was formally announced this morning, alongside a terrific Arkham City themed magazine cover.
