Oooooh... It's Like a PS3. But White!

Thankfully, Sony Japan's now got you covered — announcing a bunch of new PlayStation 3 SKUs for the region.

The most obvious announcement here is that Japan's to get white casing options. Naturally, matching stands and DualShock 3's are to be made readily available in the region to match the system. Oooh.

In other news, Sony are discontinuing the 120GB PS3 SKU, and instead replacing it with 160GB and 320GB versions. The systems with new drives will release on July 29th. Sony's not put a price-cut on existing 120GB stock, but is allowing retailers to decide on the prices before stock dries up.

The new 160GB model will retail for ¥29,980 ($342), which is roughly the same price as the existing 120GB model. The 320GB version will cost ¥34,980 ($399). Both will be available in black, but the 160GB model will be available in white too.

Sony's also planning a PlayStation 3 Terrestrial Digital Recorder Pack, which includes the Torne TV receiver box for ¥36,980 ($421).

Sadly, there's no word of the new models making their way out of Japan. Yet.
