Morne Tunnel Location: How to Find It

The entrance to Morne Tunnel is in the rocky chasm east of the Weeping Peninsula’s Minor Erdtree. It can easily be reached by heading west from South of the Lookout Tower, and following the path around and down into the chasm where you’ll find the tunnel entrance at the southern end.

Morne Tunnel: Walkthrough

Start your trip through Morne Tunnel by taking the lift down and activating the Site of Grace before taking the lift back up to the top. Roll off the wooden platform toward the southeast, and drop down to the next opening to find a Smithing Stone [1] ripe for the taking. Carefully descend back down to the Site of Grace and continue onward into the tunnel.

You’ll soon reach a chamber with a Misbegotten enemy waiting for you. These guys aren’t too tough if you’re able to take them on one-on-one, and they’ll often drop an Old Fang for your troubles. Take out this first one, head further along the wooden scaffolds to dispatch another Misbegotten, then carefully skirt across the narrow beam to take out a third Misbegotten who’s napping on the job. When the coast is clear, take the ladder to the northeast for a vulnerable miner enemy and another Smithing Stone [1].

Next, head into the opening at the north end, opposite of the wooden beam you just balanced across. On the following wooden platform are three more Misbegotten enemies – two on the left and one on the right. Sneaking up to the one with its back turned on the left and getting in a backstab is likely your best bet before getting some distance and picking them off one at a time. Grab the Golden Rune [2] on the platform they were defending, then head down the wooden stairs to the ground floor.

Along the edges of this chamber are a couple more miners preoccupied by some more Smithing Stones [1] that you can grab if you so desire, then continue toward the chamber in the south. It’s best to deal with the miners sitting next to the fire sconces right away so that they don’t get the jump on you before proceeding into the wooden shack to defeat another miner who’s guarding a Golden Rune [4] and Exalted Flesh in the treasure chest. Before backtracking to the previous chamber, take a trip around the backside of the wooden hut to find a Large Glintstone Scrap and a Somber Smithing Stone [1].

Back in the chamber with the wooden platform, head westward on the ground floor to find a couple more miner enemies guarding a Smithing Stone [1] and Stanching Boluses. Continue on to come to the ground floor of the first chamber we came across. The five Misbegotten enemies are the biggest threat here, so take them out first and pick up the Arteria Leaf they were gathered around. The chamber should now be safe to run about – it contains a handful of Smithing Stones [1] and a Somber Smithing Stone [1] that are all yours.

Our last detour through this tunnel is through the westward passageway. This’ll take you to a Soft Cotton next to a fire. The path to the boss should now be all clear. Head back east, through the previous chamber, and straight back to eventually find the wooden doors blocking off the boss room. Once you’re ready, open those double doors and come face to face with Scaly Misbegotten.
