Bloody Slash Location: Dropped by a Beast Crest Heater Knight along the castle walls of Fort Haight. You will probably head to this location when trying to figure out how to complete Kenneth Haight's quest. If not, it is found in the southeastern corner of Limgrave.

Elden Ring: Best Ashes of War and How to Get Them Guide 2

The Ashes of War known as the Bloody Slash is regarded as one of the best in the game thanks to its knack for procing Bleed damage at a rapid pace in accordance with your general swipes. Once triggered, Bleed damage takes out huge chunks of HP at a time. It can be used to kill many bosses, especially humanoids that are weak to the effect.

The only downside is that as well as using up a small bit of FP to use, it'll also damage you slightly upon activation. You don't lose too much HP, however. Obtainable early on in the game, it's an Ashes of War you could stick with for your entire playthrough.

It uses up a fair chunk of your FP bar, though, so make sure you have some Flasks on hand to refill it. Since the Ashes of War is acquired in the Liurnia of the Lakes, you'll have to progress a bit before having the chance to pick it up.
