I'm really excited to see this come out on consoles. I almost bought a new pc just to play it. Ever since its announcement at the end of September I've been searching for a release date. The best I've seen is on Target's website with a Dec 31st release date. It is probably just a placeholder date though. If anyone sees anything please post. Anyone else excited for its console release?

@Elodin I forgot it was coming to consoles. I’m way more into Europa Universalis as a series but Crusader Kings is great too. I just prefer playing as a nation rather than getting hanged up on by a million random nobles because they didn’t like my face.

@nessisonett I've never heard of Europa Universalis. I looked into it. That looks fantastic too. Unfortunately my cpu is old and only used for work / kids school work now. At the Very least I can check out some twitch streams of Europa Universalis and play vicariously through them. As for CK3, I like the politics of family and noble lines, very Game of Thrones. Now I can put Jon Snow on the Throne.

I realise this is old news to you guys but I just wanted to say you have made my day with this thread.

I had no idea this was happening, and so soon now!

A few years ago I must have spent almost a full two years hammering CKII with almost all DLC's and had a blast with it. Primarily console gaming in more recent times, getting the chance to play this for the first time on PS5 is incredibly exciting.

Pre-ordered immediately after reading this, thank you!

Ck3 is out today! No reviews yet though. Not that it matters as I bought the special edition 2 months ago. I just hope it's close to the PC version. This will be a great break from elden ring. I can always murder some subjects to release any boss wall frustration.

Anyone else pick this up? Just got through the tutorial. Yes it for sure has a steep learning curve, but over time I'm sure ill figure it out. I think thr hardest part will be adjusting claims and seeing who has what.

@Elodin Think I might grab it for my younger brother’s birthday and I’ll probably play it too. I’ve played a bit on my laptop but he’s not got any other way to play it!

About 6ish hours in, almost created the kingdom of Ireland. Only 2 counties to go. Then...the king dies. His 2 sons each get a few counties, the oldest getting the most. They really like each other, but the Kingdom must be built. War it is...Having a blast so far.

Last post on my progress, as this thread has become my personal log lol.

I was about to create the kingdom of Ireland again when I was called to join a Crusade. I went, choosing a strong knight of mine as the beneficiary. I smartly avoided the huge armies and conquered the lands fartherest from Jerusalem. It got me first place (most useful i gather) after the war was won. It then asked if I wanted to look more into my beneficiary as he was named King of Jerusalem for being first. (Due to my handy work) I thought sure let's see what his Kingdom looks like. Well that choice switched me to his Dynasty. I thought of switching back (At least I think I can) , but I figured I'd give this a run and see where it goes. I can still watch Ireland from afar and see how my kin do....So many twists and turns and fun stories. This game is great. I hope more join in the fun. I can't recommend it enough.

Got this for my brother for his birthday so have sat watching him play a million tutorials, despite most of it being stuff we already know from CK2 and EU4 😂

Started as Ivarr the Boneless, now converted the entirety of the UK to Gaelic culture and reinstated the kingdom of Britannia as his grandson. Job done. Now to go off on a merry crusade and grab a piece of the Jerusalem pie.
