hello everyone.

I want to ask opinion.
my ps4 slim internal storage is broken. I want to replace it. I have a choice that is

  • Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200rpm
  • Seagate Barracuda 1TB 5400rpm

Which one should I replace it with?
or is there a recommended storage type and brand?

thank you

@newbie9900 Both will work.
The 5400rpm Drive will perform exactly the same as stock drive.
The 7200rpm Drive will load games faster but not to the extent you would expect from the greater speed. It will probably knock a few seconds off loading times.

@newbie9900 another tip is to buy an external hard drive and take out the hard drive from its casing to Make it internal. I saved $70 this way for the exact same drive when I bought a 2 Terabyte drive for my ps4 years ago. If you are not a techie, no problem. Many easy instructions on YouTube. Believe me, If I can do it, anyone can.

@newbie9900 You should consider an SSD. Having one will greatly reduce load times. This is the one I bought.

They can be a little pricey, but it’s definitely worth it.
