Topic: Are PS4's known to struggle with blu ray movies?

I have two PS4's and one of them is having trouble reading blu ray movies. They freeze or skip sometimes. Some won't load at all. I think one of the movies i tried might be a bootleg if that matters. Also i noticed another strange thing. My copy of the RE2 remake only plays on my PS4 slim but won't load at all on my original model. No other games refuse to load but that one and i know it's not scratched or damaged in any way. What could be the problem here? It's really confusing me.

Is the original model also the one that struggles with blu rays?

Yep! Is that the problem?

I'd guess the blu ray lens or drive is dying. I had similar issues with my ps3. Good thing you've got 2 ps4s.

Edit: my ps4 never had any problems with any disc, but it's only 2 years old.
