i have the setting on that lets you charge in rest mode...but still it won't work....unless i just charge without the hub and plug directly into the console. Is there anyway to fix this without discarding the hub?
Are there are any hubs that work on rest mode....this one i guess won't work likely...
I don't know what this hub is exactly but you can charge PS5 accessories from a USB outlet or any regular plug socket with a USB adapter. I'm not sure why PS5 specific USB hubs exist.
But there's no reason at all to get something that only works when plugged into a PS5. This thing you have presumably ends with a regular USB connector so could be plugged into anything else, like a PC, laptop, TV, mains adapter with a USB socket, etc. The fastest way to charge would be with each accessory plugged into a single plug USB adapter, though - the kind of thing you charge your phone with.
@SoulofTheLost Well you still can - it connects wirelessly so you can charge it from anything but still have it connected to the PS5 itself. It doesn't matter if it's plugged into the mains to charge, you can still use it (obviously as long as you have a mains outlet near enough to your chair).
@SoulofTheLost I've played on my PS5 with my DS5 plugged into my Laptop as a 'USB' power source to charge the Controller whilst I play. The purpose of using my Laptop instead of the PS5 was because my PS5 was across the room and I didn't want the cable stretched across the floor so it made much more sense to plug it into the Laptop and prevent a 'tripping' hazard.
