Interesting. Still curious that Polyphony Digital would state a date when nothing has been announced.

There must be something behind it.

Then again, a lot of the time, these dates are purely put in as a placeholder.

They alleged received word from the manufacturer of the game, which would be Polyphony Digital, NOT Sony. Sony have already commented that they didn't announce a release date as of yet.

Play.com are claiming the release date as official. They're saying they received word from Sony on the release.

Treat this as rumour for now though. Just in case.
