Re: Reaction: PS5 Livestreams Are No Longer Speaking to the Fans Who Built the Brand

Definitely seem headed towards a gaming drought, if we aren’t already at the start of one now. I know last few years a recession was predicted but never really materialized but you do wonder if that impacted game studios and they started preparing for one, anyway. As it is right now, I’m putting more future gaming hope into a Switch 2 over a PS5 Pro, but neither will matter if the games aren’t there. Why would you need a souped up PS5 or Switch, if there’s relatively nothing to play on it?

Re: Persona 3 Reload The Answer DLC Looking Increasingly Likely

I’m still in my first play through of the game and had not played it before this version. I’m a very slow player and have already clocked 100 hours and only in late November in the games calendar. Can’t imagine how many hours I’d have with an additional DLC. Love the game. I had tried playing P4 Golden after P5R but it didn’t quite scratch that itch and I didn’t make it very far. That’s on me, not the game. I hope it gets the same treatment, even though I understand the arguments that it doesn’t need it. Can’t wait for P6, though.

@NeonPizza I’m definitely rooting for it, or any VR device, to become mainstream. Mainstream means more AAA games, more support. I hope I’m wrong, and just like 3D, I love the concept but you got to get your Aunt and second cousin to love it, as well. If not this will remain a niche, but awesome, proof of concept.

Re: Sony Sued £5 Billion for 'Ripping Off' PS5, PS4 Players

My (game related) dream is to be able to buy a game at a premium price and own it on all formats it releases on. I wouldn’t care if that meant some kind of lock or check to make sure you are only playing on one source at a time. Some kind of universal Steam for all of gaming. Never going to happen, most likely, but if I was going to pay $80-$100 for a single game, that’s my wish. Having a Steam Deck makes me wish for that even more. I know it’s closer to my wish because you are only paying once to play it on PC and the Deck. Maybe if Sony had not thrown in the towel on portability, I wouldn’t be as concerned at buying digital but that’s not the reality we live in. I want to pay one price and own the right to play the game anywhere I want. A man can dream…
