@TheSingularity are you brain damaged or just functionally illiterate? i have zero interest in the ps5 pro, which someone could tell from my previous post if they didn't have either of those issues. next to none of the games i have struggle on the base ps5 and i had no desire to play gta6
joke is on them. turns out rock star did next to no optimization for ps5 pro. you won't even get 60 fps, the most basic ps5 pro upgrade, on the ps5 pro for gta6
@LogicStrikesAgain I know. none of the contempt in my previous comment was directed at you. I apologize for not being clear enough about that the first time.
@LogicStrikesAgain the "sound business logic" of the decision has been thoroughly debunked several times over. this isn't sony being greedy since this move will result in lower overall profits. this is sony being lazy.
cute point about sony not missing the profits from physical sales, but short sighted. this is going to affect digital revenue significantly as well. People don't use ps plus and pay for microtransactions on sony because that's what brought/keeps them on the platform. playstation exclusives and physical media as an option is what brings people here. the other stuff is just what people buy once they're here to make their stay in the ecosystem more comfortable.
also regardless of how much digital stuff is bought, the fact is 80% of all the ps5s sold are the versions with a built in disc drive. 80% of the ps5 user base would rather pay $100 more for a ps5 than buy a digital version.
we may have to wait till the ps6 comes out, but this will hit sony hard if they don't reverse it. also, sony is a public company. it's not enough to continue making a profit. they have to make sure their profit doesn't dip below a certain amount to avoid upsetting or even losing investors.

@Haruki_NLI yes, that 85% number does include microtransactions and dlc.
