I agree. This scene also felt so out of place, like he intentionally put this scene in to have shock. My 8 year old was very upset about this scene. I had to explain to her that no good parent word ever do this to their child. And where did these idiot parents even get the idea to make their child cry? Definitely felt out of place for me, okay our daughters sadness is what turned us into these dolls so their solution is to mutilate and torture her favorite stuffed animal and make her cry more? This is the conclusion these two idiots came to? Surely not making her happy would reverse the effects, lol. I mean, they are actually celebrating/dancing in their daughters tears, wtf. They even dragged it on with Cutie screaming the whole time. The writer even defends the scene by comparing the torture scene in A way out, c'mon, totally different game.
