The arguement sony has is valid to an extent like you say "exclusives sell consoles" which is what sony are in the market to do. But I think they should draw a line when it comes to "free-to-play" games as not many people by hardware purely for those titles. I've got both a PS4 and a switch and while graphically it's slightly better on the Sony machine after this season I'm gonna play exclusively on my switch now not across both systems due to their stance. This is down to convenience of the hardware more than anything and fortnite is a pick up and play for 5 mins title to me. Also I generally prefer my full triple A game experience on my PS4.
Such a shame @get2sammy I was just hoping they wold announce something now the release date has been made public. I dont think many people that own it on the PS4 will double dip and purchase it on the vita too so cross-buy wouldnt lose revenue. I know that theres always remote play but its not always as practical when you're out as opposed to having the game downloaded. Guess ill have to pull myself away from Arkham Knight and Driveclub long enough to give Revelations 2 the time it deserves on the PS4.
I really hope that this is cross-buy as i brought it digitally on the ps4 and havent played it yet. This would give me a good reason to dust off my vita.
@rastamadeus you are lucky that you get no lag but there are a large number of people out there not only in the UK but in many other countries including the US that are unable to play while signed in EA servers. I know a few friends who have the same problems. The reason im comparing this to the Driveclub situation is that while yes i agree with your minority/majority point but the sales of fifa 15 across several platforms who suffer this lag is probably larger than the number of total people who have actually PAID for a copy of Driveclub (ps plus subscribers, including myself, moaning dont count as its basically a freebie and we are not putting money in the developers pockets unless we upgrade later) also this is Evolutions biggest venture to date so its a learning curve for them whereas EA are one of the largest/richest publishers in the world producing annual games that are always top sellers therefore their servers/set up/products should all be produced to the highest standard and not put out half finished products and rely on patches and updates to provide the finished quality that should have been included out of the box (the last Battlefield was a prime example). I too didnt expect the problems that Driveclub has suffered from and am waiting for the PS plus version but as its basically a free game ill just wait for when its available as unlike fifa it wont become outdated by the next incarnation within the next 11 months. Thats my opinion.

To be honest with you Rockstar North deserve every penny. Call Of Duty and FIFA recycle the same game year in and year out to get this coin whereas GTA work hard for 5 years solid, unlimited amounts of recorded audio and creativity. DMA/Rockstar North have earned every dollar for the sheer graphical push they have achieved from the current gen limitations. If we had more companies like RN & Naughty Dog the industry would be thriving. Thank you for the experiences, memories and humour Rockstar North. Im forever indebted.

If it means indie developers picking up the slack this gen because triple A companies have got to big for their boots then so be it. I happily open the doors to innovation and new ideas whole heartedly. Im glad to take a risk with a few quid in my back pocket on a new idea that maybe fun instead of a tried and tested, copy and paste repeat performance in new clothes. Im fed up with companies like Microsoft, EA, etc trying to demand our money. Earn it instead of putting out shoddy products which need several patches and updates and unnecessary dlc which should have been included in the original product but were removed to make and extra few quid. Gears Of War, Call Of Duty and Fifa can dissappear if it means we can no longer play second hand games and cheaper content. The industry was here before these companies and will survive long after. Retro content still sells and those games didnt need artistic big budgets to provide an entertaining and fun gaming experience. This is why Sony are winning the next gen battle already. Consumers before everything else. Ive earnt my money to spend how I see fit and I wont be dictated to by an arrogant corporate company.

Call of duty is now as bland as the yearly FIFA updates. I enjoyed MW1, 2 & BO but its boring now so its no big deal if Microsoft use it as the only way it'll force its hardware into consumers home. With sony still having Battlefield, Killzone, Destiny and many new shooters coming to their next gen I prefer the competition.
Id be extremely happy with a £300 tag. Ive been preparing for £400 and anything less than that will be spent on games and hardware. Sony definitely seem to be entering the next gen console war with all guns blazing. Could this be the rebirth off the glory days of Sony.

Ive pre-ordered my PS4 but im keeping my PS3 so my game purchases are unaffected. Ive owned every Sony console and always traded it in for the next gen model until now. There's still so much life in the PS3 and my collection of hard copy/downloads is to much to part with. Plus with having so many AAA titles still to come out it will more than ease the PS4 wait and post release initial lull in game releases.
