Great gameplay and graphics, but really disliked almost all the characters and the overall story. I replayed part 1 I believe 3 times. I don’t have any desire to replay part 2. That said, it was very well made, just didn’t enjoy the narrative.
The game not being on a physical disk combined with it running like crap on even the Pro compared to the Series X probably has at least some effect on this. It has at least blunted my enthusiasm for the game. Maybe if they patch it I will consider it down the road.
I’m seeing a pattern with these “articles” from Sammy. He takes something that isn’t really news, but that he doesn’t like, and uses whatever info there is to editorialize his “correct” opinion. This isn’t a news piece, it’s opinion.
I think they need to mark these as editorials, or opinion pieces to start. In the meantime, is it possible to manage the news you see on the site to omit stories by a specific author?
Sammy certainly comes across as having an agenda here. Just started coming to this site from the editorial messes of ign. This is just as bad. Do better.
Im not put off because this one single game has a minority woman lead character. That's fine. What IS getting annoying is that Sony Studios seems to have to decided that they wont make games with straight white men as leads anymore. I could be wrong, but the only new character one of their studios has made in the last two console GENERATIONS was Deacon from Days Gone, and they seemed unhappy about it, and cancelled any chance of a sequel. In that same time I believe they have introduced 4 or 5 leads that are lesbians (or appear to be) (Aloy, Selene, Rivet, Ellie, now this. I could be forgetting others too). I believe the only lead as a white man left is Kratos, and I think they've backed him into a corner going forward, and would expect the next game to either be a new IP or a new lead character.
