Re: PS5 Completely Outpacing Xbox Series X in Terms of Popularity, Says New Research

I don't know. It's too soon to know. I think most people are saying this because PS4 just has a lot of momentum behind it. If you're talking about just this last year, PS4 has had an awesome year. Xbox has gone the full year with just nothing of note. It's crazy. As for next gen, I find myself in this grey area. I love the specs of Xbox series x. Oddly, I hate the look. Most people don't like PS5's look, I love it. I hate the no VR stance of Xbox Series x. I would have to buy an xbox and a gaming pc since I love vr. I might actually be mostly into PS5, but then I would need a gaming pc for Halo, which I do want. But then do I really want to get a PS5 and Xbox series X? I mean bah. Xbox really needs to do VR. They need more game support as well. Spiderman was just a huge punch to the gut. Most people fail to realize how big it is for an exclusive, due to the Sony deal with the brand and movie. The name recognition is huge on that one and tons of comic lovers might buy the game and cross over. You won't get transfer like that on just about anything else except maybe transformers if they do it right some day. Speaking of...Microsoft! Get on a transformer development team and get the rights! We need a proper war for cybertron sequel.

Re: PS5 vs Xbox Series X: Full Tech Specs Comparison

@HellOfaHunter Xbox was more powerful than PS2, though it released later, they are same gen, the 360 was notably more powerful than the PS3 in terms of gpu (PS3 was originally going to launch without one) Xbox one X is notably more powerful than PS4 Pro. The only Sony console that was more powerful was the PS4. That is the anomaly, not the norm.

Re: Microsoft Wants to 'Surprise Sony' with Xbox Scarlett, Devkits are Reportedly Rare and 'Nowhere Near Final'

@Rob_230 This is highly inaccurate. Microsoft's advantage is using the same basic API which is shared with Windows I might add, which has been superior to Sony's for some time (in terms of ease of use). The Jaguar cores aren't well suited to it (as they aren't for windows either), but the Ryzen ones are. Practically no work will need to be done. The CPU architecture is known and in use, this is why they have started putting Xbox games into the Game Pass for Windows. Sony's API does not run off windows. There will be more work needed. This is similar to when Nintendo used an easier API for switch, and switched their system and API, and developers had their games running in some scenarios in one day, since NVIDIA had a very easy API they developed for them. Microsoft are probably simply having developers developing on a PC kit that has the same basic specs, which would transfer perfectly considering their API. It is not a problem at all. If anything, Xbox can use this to hide how powerful their console is rather well. They also announced theirs first, I highly doubt they are behind. My guess would be they are far ahead in terms of Sony, at least in knowing their full final specs. Sony is probably still working on it.
